A Friend Over

My friend Elliette got to spend the whole day at our house last Friday, because their movers were at their house.

It was fun because we were able to chase each other around...


We practiced sharing. Although that is harder than it looks when you are barely one!

All in all, we had a good time! it was fun having someone by age around to talk to about things that on eyear olds liek to talk about. You know napping, snacks, being changed. Girl talk!

Quiet Days in Oregon

My daddy seems to think that Ken Kesey was the man/author who single handily jump started the American freak/hippy scene, and for that he is eternally grateful. He sees him as some sort of super hero idol, so he was pretty excited to perch Elliette and me up on his statue in downtown Eugene, Oregon...

You don't lead by pointing and telling people some place to go. You lead by going to that place and making a case.

The rest of the day we spent at fountains, lunch, and playground.

Kindermusik

Every Saturday we go to my Kindermusik classes where I learn about rhythm and music. This week we started a class we two of my friends. We were all born in July this year. Here is a picture of all of us getting ready for class.

Okay! Let's get started. We start off by doing a circle dance. My daddy does this sometimes too, but this week he was on photo duty.

Next we play with rhythm sticks. my mommy is showing me how to keep a beat.


Then there are some tickling games, always a good time...


Some rocking back and forth...

And of course, just flapping your arms and getting loose!


We all come together and check each other out.


Then that's it. All crammed into only 30 minutes. After we are done we have some downtime, where we crawl around and play...



Then I decided to explore my sense of self and check myself out in the mirror.


As you can see, I liked what I saw.

Bird Park Redux

Yesterday was an exciting day, not only did we go back to the bird park in Lake Gardens in KL, where we went when I was a baby, but we went with my friend Elliette, and the last time I saw her, we both looked like this:

All in all we had a great day.

Now that I am older I can really appreciate the birds. Look at this cool Emu!

Of course there is always Ice Cream. Which is a huge hit.

Then we decided to bury my daddy in birds.

Long Time Friends

Elliette and I have come a long way since this picture was taken...

..so it was great to see her again in Eugene.

The Ladies

Two other couples at our school had babies this summer. So last Friday night we had our back to school social event and all three babies were there. Here they are- the three ladies: Kaia, Caroline and Elliette.
