Little Dancing Rabbit
Today was a very exciting day at my school. We had a big festival to celebrate the Chinese New Year and my class performed a dance. We got to dress up in costumes and dance in front of a full theater. At first I was a bit nervous, but I ended doing a great job. Here is a picture of me before we got started.
But there was nothing like the feeling of being in stage for real. I was nervous, but it felt good and I really liked it.

Birthing a Painting
Getting daddy to let me paint always takes forever. he thinks it is too messy and too much trouble, but today he finally said yes! So we got out the paints, a clean canvas and off we went.
Skyelar doesn't really know what she is doing, so she just ate some paint and watched.
She also has a bad habit of crawling on the table. We finally got her to sit still and at least watch.
After all the commotion with Skyelar, I finally got to work. I really like to paint and my attention span and attention to details is getting much better.
This was a good first time for Skyelar, because after se ate the paint and crawled on the table, she started to explore the paints...
and even picked up a brush.

Island Hoppers
We are in the process of getting all of our pictures off our various cameras, so stay tuned for some delinquent photos from our trip, before and after Christmas.
Let's start with a few shots of our day trip to Gili Trawangan and Gili Meno. We rented a boat for the day and headed out!
After spending some time swimming and eating at the bigger island Trawangan, we headed to the beautiful little island Meno.
Skyelar was tired for most of teh day, but she was very good. She just slept on mommy's shoulder like a monkey.
I collected shells, danced on the beach and even practiced snorkeling. I can;t breath through the snorkel yet, but I saw some fish swimming around with my goggles and fins.
It was so nice to be on such a quiet island.
That night we had dinner at this restaurant on the water and watched the sunset during a rainstorm.
Another night we were at our favorite place on Lombok called Square, where Aidan and I loved watching the bartender make drinks.
These pictures are from our day trip to a waterfall at the foot of a volcano called Mount Rinjani.
We all had to walk down for about 45 mins, but we all did it and walked back up. It was very cold water.
